The Pearl Experiment The World’s Largest Ghost Town The Queen Mary: A Floating Phenomenon The Stanley Effect

The Pearl Experiment

The Glen Tavern Inn was the site of an unusual experiment aimed at manifesting a thought form through mental energy. The process combined various methods used by others who have attempted to create an entity that could produce tangible evidence of its existence.

In ancient civilizations, it was believed that summoning a spiritual being allowed one to exert control over the apparition, enabling it to perform magical tasks. That, however, was not our intent. Our goal was simply to document any indication that the experiment yielded even a partial success—enough to determine whether further study might be justified.

We named our project The Pearl Experiment, after the fictitious personality we created—a composite of early 20th-century archetypes and stereotypes.

This parapsychological experiment was carried out with the idea that guests of the Inn might capture audio or visual evidence as a result of our efforts. Join us on March 23–25, 2012, as we present the results of The Pearl Experiment and launch our next study, which will explore the influence of group intention on atomic particles.
